President Welcomes Establishment of National Clinical Documentation Center

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, welcomed the passage of the bill for the establishment of the National Clinical Documentation and Quality of Health Services Center, describing it as a significant reform and a decisive step towards the modernization and improvement of health services. He emphasized that health security is a top priority for his government and that the creation of the Center was a pre-election commitment. The Center, according to the President, will establish for the first time an independent mechanism that will ensure that healthcare is provided with uniform, clear, and scientifically based standards. It will determine how to provide the correct medical care, monitor its implementation, and evaluate health services, ensuring equal quality and safe services for all citizens. Furthermore, the Center will set quality standards, support and train healthcare professionals, enhancing transparency and continuous improvement of the healthcare system. The creation of the Center is part of the government's programming for 2025 and is part of a broader effort for a healthcare system that puts the patient at the center. President Christodoulides stressed that this reform strengthens citizens' confidence in the healthcare system and substantially upgrades the services provided.
