Russia: Blizzard Sweeps Kamchatka Peninsula – Two Dead (VID)

A severe blizzard is sweeping the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia's Far East, resulting in two deaths and paralyzing the region. Homes and roads are buried under snow, with snowdrifts reaching up to the second floor of buildings in some areas. Local authorities have declared a state of emergency. While heavy snowfall is not uncommon in the region, the intensity of this storm is particularly high. Schools have been closed and many businesses are operating remotely. Approximately 150 kilometers of road network are covered in snow, and the Russian Ministry of Defense has sent troops to assist with snow removal efforts. There are shortages of basic necessities, such as bread, eggs, and milk, due to blocked roads.
