Police Raids Across Cyprus Lead to Three Arrests

Police conducted targeted preventative operations across all districts, with an increased presence in key urban areas, aiming to prevent serious criminal activity and protect citizens. During the operations, three individuals were arrested: two in Nicosia for assault on a police officer, public intoxication, and causing disturbance, and one in Larnaca for carrying a knife and illegal possession of property. Over 370 vehicles and 470 individuals were checked, and 32 premises were inspected. The inspections resulted in two complaints regarding violations of operating licenses. Additionally, 168 traffic violations were recorded, including five for driving under the influence of alcohol, and seven vehicles were impounded. These operations are part of a broader, ongoing, and enhanced preventative plan by the Police, with increased police presence, targeted checks, and immediate operational response in all districts, aiming to prevent crime and enhance citizens' sense of security. It is noted that the Police continue to carry out intensive checks and take preventative measures to address crime and maintain public order throughout Cyprus.
