Ένα νέο πολιτικό σκάνδαλο ξέσπασε στην Τουρκία, με πρωταγωνιστή τον Χαλούκ Αλιτζίκ, πρόεδρο του εθνικιστικού Κόμματος Εθνικιστικής Κίνησης (MHP) στην επαρχία Αϊδίνio. Βίντεο και φωτογραφίες που κυκλοφόρησαν στα κοινωνικά δίκτυα δείχνουν τον Αλιτζίκ να κάθεται σε τραπέζι τζόγου σε καζίνο της κατεχόμενης Κύπρου, προκαλώντας θύελλα αντιδράσεων.
Η υπόθεση έρχεται λίγες μέρες μετά τις αμφιλεγόμενες δηλώσεις του ίδιου για τους συνταξιούχους, τους οποίους είχε χαρακτηρίσει «αχάριστους» για τις διαμαρτυρίες τους σχετικά με τις χαμηλές συντάξεις.
