Slovenia Rejects Trump's 'Peace Council' Invitation

Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob announced today that his country will not accept the invitation from US President Donald Trump to join the so-called 'Peace Council'. Golob expressed concern that the Council's broad mandate could undermine the international order based on the United Nations Charter, despite recognizing the commendable effort to calm the situation in the Middle East. While some countries have accepted Trump's invitation, others, including traditional US allies, remain cautious. Golob will travel to Brussels for the EU summit instead of attending the signing of the Council's founding charter in Davos.
