110,000 Vaccinated Against Flu - Low Interest in COVID Vaccine

Approximately 110,000 citizens have been vaccinated against the flu, representing a satisfactory response, while interest in the COVID vaccine remains low, with only 3,800 people vaccinated so far. This was stated by the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health, Elissavet Constantinou, during the visit of the Minister of Health, Neofytos Charalambidis, to the Limassol Hospital. According to Ms. Constantinou, 75% of vulnerable groups have already received the flu vaccine. The Ministry of Health encourages citizens to get vaccinated against the flu through their personal doctors and against COVID at the Vaccination Centers. In recent days, there has been a doubling in hospital admissions to public and private hospitals, while admissions to intensive care units remain at expected levels. The epidemic wave is on the rise, as happens every year during this period. The Ministry of Health continues to monitor the situation and take the necessary measures to protect public health.
