Two Arrested for Drug Possession in Larnaca and Limassol

Two individuals were arrested by the YKAN (Cyprus Drug and Anti-Narcotics Unit) in the districts of Larnaca and Limassol for illegal possession of narcotics. In Larnaca, a 39-year-old was arrested following a traffic accident, during which 24 bags containing methamphetamine, with a total weight of approximately 14.7 grams, were found in his possession. It was also discovered that he was driving without a license and insurance. In Limassol, a search of a 24-year-old's home revealed three bags of cocaine (2.2 grams) and a precision scale. A sum of 1875 euros was also found at the residence and is being investigated for potential links to drug trafficking. In both cases, the arrested individuals face charges for immediate offenses, and investigations are ongoing.
