Free Space for Cables

Television stations, telecommunications companies, and internet providers are using public space free of charge for the passage and installation of cables. The state does not collect any fees for this use, only the cost of the necessary works, such as excavations and sidewalk restoration. The lack of revenue for the state stems from existing legislation, which does not provide for a fee for the use of public space for cable laying. Municipalities and provincial administrations are responsible for issuing the necessary permits, while the cost of the works is covered by the providers.
