Russian cosmonaut Sergei Kud-Sverchkov captured stunning footage of the Northern Lights from the International Space Station. The video shows the phenomenon as it appears from space, with its characteristic green, pink, and red colors. Kud-Sverchkov mentioned that he recorded the video during a strong solar storm, the strongest in the last two decades. According to the cosmonaut, the solar storm caused an intense red glow in the Northern Lights, making the phenomenon appear even more spectacular. He described the experience as floating within the light. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon caused by the interaction of charged particles from the solar wind with the Earth's atmosphere.
