A Lingering Grudge

During a session of the Audit Committee, the Auditor General, Andreas Papakonstantinou, attempted to use English terms, which provoked a reaction from the committee chairman, Zacharias Koulias, who asked him to speak Greek. This interaction reminded fellow MPs of Mr. Koulias' previous warnings, when the Audit Office was vacant, that he would appoint an Auditor General himself if the process was delayed. Mr. Koulias seemed to imply that Mr. Papakonstantinou's appointment as Auditor General was due to his own intervention.
