Turkey and Six Other Countries Accept Trump's Invitation to Peace Council

US President Donald Trump is promoting an initiative to create a "Peace Council" to resolve global issues, inviting dozens of leaders from around the world. So far, Turkey, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, and Bahrain have accepted the invitation. However, the German government expresses reservations, believing that this Council could undermine the work of the United Nations and wants to ensure that any initiative is compatible with international law. Germany is considering its participation only if the initiative focuses on resolving the crisis in Gaza and not on a broader restructuring of the international order. The Council, as described by Trump, gives him full decision-making powers, which is considered contrary to the principles of the United Nations.
