Deadly Floods in Spain: Valencia Grapples with Chaos – One Dead, Two Missing

Deadly floods are ravaging Spain, with a particularly severe situation in the Valencia region. So far, one death has been recorded in Andalusia and two people are missing. The Spanish meteorological agency has issued a red alert for floods in many areas of the east coast, warning of potential rainfall exceeding 120 liters per square meter in 12 hours. In Valencia, 38 residents have been evacuated from their homes and rescue teams have rescued citizens using inflatable boats. Severe hailstorms have also been recorded, covering the streets with ice. Authorities are urging citizens to exercise extreme caution and avoid unnecessary travel. In Andalusia, the body of a man was found in the Fahala River, while searches continue for two missing people who attempted to cross the river by car. Simultaneously, a third man is being searched for in the province of Granada, who was swept away by a stream while riding a motorcycle. A state of emergency has been declared in the Costa del Sol, with more than 300 emergency incidents recorded in Malaga. The Guadalhorce and Sol rivers have exceeded their historical limits, causing extensive damage. Despite the receding waters in some areas, weather warnings remain in effect.
