19-Year-Old Arrested for Attempted Murder and Robbery of Elderly Man

Police have arrested a 19-year-old in connection with an attempted murder and robbery that took place on December 20, 2025, in the province of Nicosia. According to the complaint, the 85-year-old victim was attacked in his home by an unknown assailant, who then stole a sum of money. The elderly man remains hospitalized in serious condition at Nicosia General Hospital, having sustained severe injuries, including a skull fracture and fractured ribs. Investigations are ongoing by the Morphou TAE to fully investigate the case and identify any potential accomplices.
