Christodoulides: EU Considering Joint Response to Trump Tariffs

President Christodoulides announced that the European Union is considering a joint response to the new tariffs imposed by the United States on EU countries. Specifically, he has called an emergency meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives in Brussels to discuss the issue and reach a common approach. A European Council meeting is not ruled out for further discussion. These tariffs, which are threatened to increase to 25% by 2026, are imposed by US President Donald Trump and concern countries such as Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland.
