8+4 Projects Worth €100 Million in Larnaca – Maturation of Another 25 Begins

Larnaca is on the verge of a period of significant development projects, with 2026 as a milestone. Eight projects worth over €66 million are already underway, while another four, totaling over €35 million, are expected to begin by the end of the year. In addition, 25 more projects, with a total budget of over €100 million, are in the process of maturation, aiming to reshape the city in anticipation of the European Capital of Culture in 2030. Four projects worth €32.3 million are expected to be completed soon, including the renovation of Pattichio Park, the Larnaca – Dekeleia road, the beautification of the flood diversion channels in Livadia, and the renovation of Alki and Acropolis squares. At the same time, the renovation of the commercial center and the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) continue, with a cost of over €34 million. The renovation of Pattichio Park includes the creation of new infrastructure, such as a circular elevated pedestrian bridge, a botanical garden and a dog park. The Larnaca – Dekeleia road, despite the delays, is expected to be delivered soon, while the beautification of the flood diversion channels in Livadia aims to flood-proof the area. The series of projects and their schedule indicate an ambitious effort to transform Larnaca into a modern and sustainable city, ready to embrace the title of European Capital of Culture in 2030. The successful implementation of these projects will contribute significantly to the economic and social development of the region.
