Christodoulides to Address MEPs Focusing on EU Cohesion

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, will address the MEPs on Tuesday, focusing on the need for cohesion and strength of the European Union. His speech is expected to emphasize the close cooperation that the Cypriot Presidency will have with the European Parliament to promote important European policies and legislative dossiers. Christodoulides will highlight Cyprus's European responsibility as the southeasternmost end of the EU and as the only European capital under occupation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening Europe's strategic autonomy, resilience and competitiveness. He will present five pillars concerning autonomy through security, defense, economic and water security, as well as commitment to international law and support for Ukraine.
