Crete Shaken by Allegations of Years-Long Sexual Abuse of Two Sisters

The community of Messara in Crete is in shock following allegations of years-long sexual abuse of two sisters, aged 14 and 22, by their father. The 23-year-old brother of the victims filed a complaint and has been granted custody of the girls by order of a prosecutor. According to the allegations, the father also had a child with the 22-year-old, which is claimed to be the result of rape. The mother is also accused of covering up the abuse, as the brother claims she was aware of the father's actions. Furthermore, the brother reports receiving pressure to lose custody, while the older sister had previously accused the father of sexual harassment, guided by their parents. The infant born from the rape, initially desired to be raised by the mother, has been placed in the care of Social Services after intervention from the parents and refusal from relatives. The parents are reportedly targeting a Pakistani man in their testimonies, attempting to present him as the child's biological father.
