Cyprus Film Days 2026: International Jury Announced

The Cyprus Film Days International Festival has announced the International Jury that will award the prizes at the upcoming 2026 event. Matthijs Wouter Knol, CEO of the European Film Academy, will chair the jury, bringing years of experience in the film industry. The jury consists of international film personalities, including German producer Melanie Blocksdorf, German film program curator Anna Hofmann, Greek-American screenwriter Christina Lazaridi, and Cypriot director Emilios Avraam. The jury will evaluate 12 films (8 international and 4 Cypriot) in the Glocal Images competition section. The festival emphasizes education and professional development, offering masterclasses and workshops with the participation of international creators, such as Elettra Fiumi, Christina Lazaridi, and Manthos Sardis. This provides a significant opportunity to connect with contemporary filmmaking practices. The winners will be announced on April 25th at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol. Awards will be given for Best Film (€6000), Best Cypriot Film (€4000 and production services), Best Director (€1000), Best Cinematography (€1000), and a Special Jury Award (€3000).
