Cyprus League 2026/2027 to Start Last Weekend of August

The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) Board of Directors has approved the schedule for the 2026-2027 season. The Cyprus League by Stoiximan championship will begin on the last weekend of August 2026, after the completion of the UEFA play-offs, to avoid postponements in the first matchday. The 2026 Super Cup match is scheduled for September 2-3, 2026. A total of 4 matchdays will be held before the first break due to national team commitments, with the last matchday before the holiday break scheduled between December 19-21, 2026. The completion of the first phase of the championship is scheduled for March 6-7, 2027, with the start of the second phase following a week later. The second phase of the championship will be completed on the weekend of May 22-23, 2027, and will be followed by the Coca-Cola Cup final. During 2026, there will be two breaks due to national team commitments, according to the dates set by FIFA and UEFA. The dates of the breaks are between September 21 - October 6 and between November 9-17. Additionally, a break due to national team commitments is scheduled for 2027, between March 22-30.
