Rainfall in December in the free areas of Cyprus reached 116% of normal levels, with an average total of 122.8 millimeters compared to 105.6 millimeters, which is the normal value for the month. The total rainfall from October 1st to January 1st was 159.2 millimeters, corresponding to 83% of the normal for this period. The highest amount of rainfall was recorded in Polis Chrysochous with 219.2 millimeters, followed by the Stavros tis Psokas area with 249.3 millimeters, Athallassa in Nicosia with 83.3 millimeters, and Athienou with 88.1 millimeters. In January, rainfall was minimal, only 0.1 millimeters.
