“I don’t see that happening in the near future”: Turkey will wait a long time for F35s from the US - What the US Ambassador said

The US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, stated that he does not see a sale of F-35s to Turkey happening in the near future, despite the US President's statement. He explained that there are legal and political obstacles, primarily due to Turkey's possession of Russian military equipment. He reaffirmed the US commitment to maintaining Israel's qualitative military edge, emphasizing that Washington will not supply any country with weapons systems that could jeopardize it. Huckabee also referred to Erdogan's “inflammatory” statements and stressed that normalizing relations with Israel and reducing aggressive rhetoric could be in Turkey's interest.
