Joint Technical Committee Undertakes Conservation Work at Mosque and School in Agios Thomas, Limassol

The bi-communal Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage is carrying out conservation work at the mosque and the old school building in the Agios Thomas community of the Limassol district. The protection work is financially supported by the European Union and technically assisted by UNDP. According to the T/C Co-Chair of the Committee, Ali Tunç, the Committee continues its work to preserve the cultural heritage of Cyprus. The work at the mosque and school building is part of a broader effort to protect and restore important monuments and sites across the island. Funding from the EU and technical support from UNDP are crucial for the success of these projects. The bi-communal Technical Committee plays a significant role in promoting cooperation and mutual understanding between the two communities through the preservation of their shared cultural heritage. The conservation of these monuments contributes to highlighting the historical and cultural identity of Cyprus and promoting tourism.
