Kombos-Kallas Discuss Regional Developments in Phone Calls with Bahrain and Israel’s Foreign Ministers

Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, held a joint phone call with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on Friday morning. The interlocutors discussed regional developments and the efforts of the EU and the Gulf Cooperation Council to achieve stability and security through dialogue and diplomacy. Mr. Kombos also had a telephone conversation with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, where the importance of diplomacy in de-escalation and maintaining regional security and stability was underscored. These talks took place in the context of Ms. Kallas’s recent visit to Cyprus, where she met with Cypriot officials to discuss matters of common interest. These phone calls highlight the importance of continued diplomatic efforts to address the challenges in the region and promote peace and security. Cyprus, as a member of the EU and a country in the region, plays an active role in these efforts.
