Kurdish Center Calls for International Intervention in Syria

The Kurdistan Cultural Center “Theophilos” is calling for immediate international intervention in Syria to prevent a humanitarian disaster against the Kurdish people. The Center expresses fears of a potential “flood of jihadist terrorists” in the region if Kurdish forces lose control of the Al-Aktaan prison, where thousands of ISIS members are held. According to the Center, Western powers and Turkey are pressuring Kurds to sign an agreement with the Syrian President, Ahmad Hussein al-Sarrah (Jolani), despite considering him a terrorist. Despite the agreements, attacks continue, with the war focused on the city of Raqqa. The “Theophilos” Center emphasizes the need for immediate assistance, especially to protect the Al-Aktaan prison and prevent the release of prisoners.
