Larnaca EOA President: Kamarons Flood Control Project to Solve Flooding Issues

The President of the Larnaca Provincial Self-Government Organization (EOA), Angelos Chatzicharalambous, stated that the construction of the Kamarons flood control project, estimated to cost around 7 million euros and be completed in 2027, will largely solve the flooding problems in the area. The project includes widening and deepening the canal, as well as connecting it to stormwater networks. Road closures have already been implemented for the project. Mr. Chatzicharalambous expressed optimism that the project will be completed ahead of schedule as work is progressing rapidly.
