Macron: France and Europe Demand 'Respect'

French President Emmanuel Macron, upon arriving at the emergency European Council in Brussels, emphasized the need for 'respect' towards France and Europe. He highlighted that a united and swift response from the EU contributes to restoring order and calm during times of crisis. Macron expressed satisfaction with the de-escalation of the situation after a week of tension, but assured that Europe remains vigilant. Regarding NATO military exercises and Greenland, Macron stated that France is available to participate, while assuring the Danish Prime Minister of French support in upcoming discussions. He reiterated that Europe is ready to use the means at its disposal in the event of new threats. Concerning Arctic security, Macron noted that the issue will be discussed within the framework of NATO, while matters relating to Greenland's sovereignty are the responsibility of Denmark and the United States. He urged a calm approach to these issues. Finally, when asked about his relationship with Donald Trump, Macron replied briefly that it does not depend on him, stating that he feels 'calm and steady'.
