Malaysia Airlines: New Search for Flight MH370 to Begin 10 Years After Disappearance

A new search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is expected to begin tomorrow, more than 10 years after the aircraft disappeared. The flight, which carried 239 passengers, vanished from radar while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014, and remains one of the greatest mysteries in aviation history. The search will be conducted by Ocean Infinity, a marine robotics company, and will last 55 days. The company will search a 15,000 square kilometer area of ocean, considered to have the highest probability of locating the aircraft. Ocean Infinity will only be paid if wreckage is found. Previous searches, including a large-scale underwater operation led by Australia, have been unsuccessful. However, debris that has washed up on the shores of Africa and on islands in the Indian Ocean has been confirmed to be from the aircraft. The disappearance of flight MH370 has caused deep pain to the families of the victims, who continue to seek answers. The new search represents a last hope of finding the aircraft and uncovering the cause of the tragedy.
