Marios Athanasiou: 'Recent Years Have Been Strange for Me, I Went Through a Crisis Last Year'

Actor Marios Athanasiou revealed that he went through a personal crisis last year, describing the recent years of his life as “strange” and “confusing”. However, he stated that he is satisfied with his professional career, his relationships, and his family, although he would not make the same career choice if he had the opportunity. Athanasiou referred to the difficulties he faced, but also the good times he experienced through acting, emphasizing that his work gave him the opportunity to create and raise his loved ones. However, the crisis he went through left him with a sense of uncertainty about the future. He was asked about a possible return to APOEL, as he is under contract with the club, replying that he is happy in his current position and does not know if there is an offer. He also expressed his desire to play abroad, like every Cypriot athlete, and to be called up to the Men's National Team. The actor stressed that the period after the holidays will be crucial for him to overcome his difficulties and find himself again.
