Mundo Deportivo: “This is Paphos FC’s New Coach”

The Spanish sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo reports that Albert Celades is the new coach of Paphos FC. The news comes shortly after statements by the Paphos team's representative, Christoforos Matthaiou, who had stated that the announcement of Juan Carlos Carcedo's replacement was a matter of time. Celades, according to Mundo Deportivo, will travel to Cyprus this coming weekend to take over the technical leadership of Paphos FC. The Catalan coach has been without a team since 2020, when he left Valencia. Prior to Valencia, Celades had worked as a coach for the Spanish U17 and U21 national teams. His coaching career began in 2013 with the Spanish U16 national team. Celades was a football player for many years, playing for teams such as Real Madrid, Real Zaragoza, Celta, and Barcelona, before retiring from active competition in 2009.
