Over 134,000 Displaced in Syria After Army-Kurdish Clashes

Over 134,000 people have been displaced in northeastern Syria following clashes between the army and Kurdish forces. The number of internally displaced persons in the Hasaka province has increased dramatically in the last three days. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have withdrawn to Hasaka after losing control of other areas. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sara announced a four-day ceasefire, proposing a plan for the integration of the Kurdish region into the state. The displaced are in urgent need of food, shelter, and other essential supplies. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is recording increased needs in the area.
