Police Union Delivers Police Law to Parliament President Amidst Protests

Police officers from the Equality Union delivered the Police Law to the President of the Parliament, Annita Dimitriou, during a protest outside the Parliament building. The protest concerned changes to schedules and working hours, with the police officers accusing the leadership of unilateral decisions and cuts. The President of the Union, Nikos Loizidis, accused the Chief of Police of stealing the money of the police officers and violating the Police Law. The President of the Parliament stated that she stands with the police officers and that the police force needs restructuring, but decisions cannot be made without consultation.
