Republicans Seek Contempt Charges Against Bill Clinton Over Epstein Investigation

The House Oversight Committee, led by Republicans, announced it will pursue contempt of Congress charges against former President Bill Clinton for failing to comply with a subpoena to testify in the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. Committee Chairman James Comer stated that Clinton's failure to appear was unlawful. Clinton and his wife, Hillary Clinton, rejected the subpoena in a letter to Comer, stating they have reached a point of defending the principles of the country. The subpoena concerned Clinton's relationship with Epstein, and photos of him traveling on Epstein's plane have been made public. Clinton has denied any wrongdoing and stated he was unaware of Epstein's crimes.
