Russian Bombings Cut Power to Regions of Ukraine

Russian drone strikes caused power outages in the Ukrainian regions of Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia. Ukrenergo reported that most consumers in these areas, including regional centers, were left without electricity. The Russian attack damaged critical infrastructure that supplied the region with power. The governor of Dnipropetrovsk confirmed the extent of the damage and described the situation as difficult. In Zaporizhzhia, power was restored to key facilities, but work continues to fully restore supply. Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure in recent months, especially with the arrival of winter and low temperatures. Local temperatures of up to -20° Celsius are expected. Meanwhile, Russian strikes on ports near Odessa were reported, resulting in two deaths and eight injuries. Ukrainian authorities said drones and missiles were used, and explosions were also heard in the city of Odessa itself.
