Serious questions about Lakkotripis: His connection to a company related to… energy projects

Questions are arising regarding the activities of former Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotripis after his departure from the ministry. A circulated video shows him acting as a lobbyist, offering advice for contacts with the Presidential Palace, without being registered in the lobbyist registry. Lakkotripis is involved in a copper processing company in Greece, which supplies materials to another company that has closed million-dollar deals with ADMIE for the construction of electric cables. His involvement in this company raises questions about compliance with laws restricting professional activity of former officials for two years after leaving public office, as well as the committee's approval for consulting services related to the Ministry of Energy. The issue is linked to the strategic plan for the Greece-Cyprus-Israel electricity interconnection (EuroAsia Interconnector).
