Storm Geret: Homes Without Power in France - One Dead in England

A man was killed when a tree fell on his caravan in England due to the strong winds caused by Storm Geret. In France, around 100,000 households were left without power on Saturday. The storm has caused chaos in transport and led to school and service closures across Europe, with the total number of deaths reaching at least 15. Southwestern Cornwall and areas of Wales were particularly affected by winds reaching 160 kilometers per hour. Most of the United Kingdom remains under a warning for snow and ice, while around 28,000 homes in southwestern England and the Midlands are still without power. In Germany, the railway network has resumed operation, but problems remain in Hamburg.
