Stratis Matthaiou: Intensification of Public Services Digitization Needed

Stratis Matthaiou, Secretary-General of PASYDY, emphasizes the critical need to intensify the digitization of public services by 2026. He believes that Cyprus is significantly lagging behind other European countries in this area and that digitization is essential for increasing productivity and improving citizen service. Regarding 2025, Mr. Matthaiou describes it as a year of significant achievements for PASYDY, with the main issue being the agreement on the Automatic Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA). He also mentions the submission of proposals for tax reform and the ongoing discussion on public service reform, pointing out the need for corrections and improvements to the legislation.
