Three Women Found Dead After Factory Fire in Trikala, Greece

Three female workers have been found dead following a devastating fire that broke out at the Biolanda food factory in Trikala, Greece, early Monday morning. The women were located in the basement of the factory, while searches continue for the remaining two missing individuals. Eight people have been injured, and 12 have been transported to the hospital as a precaution. The fire started in a wing of the factory where 13 people were present, and a section of the building has collapsed. Firefighting efforts are ongoing with the participation of 40 firefighters and 13 vehicles, as well as construction machinery and municipal water tankers. Witnesses report that the explosion was very powerful, splitting the building in two. The arson crime investigation department has launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, and eyewitnesses state that there were no gas tanks in the area where the fire started.
