Tourists Struck by Car While Crossing Behind Bus – Their Health Condition

A couple of tourists of Russian origin were struck by a car on an avenue in the tourist area of Kato Paphos today and are hospitalized at Paphos Hospital. According to police investigations, the man and woman were attempting to cross the avenue at that point, where a bus had stopped to disembark passengers. It appears that the Russian couple was crossing the road behind the bus, resulting in a car moving in the opposite direction striking them and injuring them, as the driver was slow to notice them when they appeared behind the bus. The two visitors were taken to Paphos Hospital, where it was found that they had suffered fractures and were hospitalized. Their condition is considered serious, but out of danger.
