Donald Trump has announced the formation of a Peace Council for Gaza, which he will personally chair. Key members of the council include former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Senator Marco Rubio, Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and World Bank President Ajay Banga. The council's objective is to oversee various sectors deemed necessary for the stabilization and long-term success of Gaza, including the creation of governmental structures, reconstruction, and investment attraction. Trump described the council as the “greatest and most distinguished” ever assembled. Simultaneously, Bulgarian diplomat Nikolay Mladenov will serve as the High Representative for Gaza, while General Jasper Jeffers will command an International Stabilization Force. The announcement coincides with the commencement of work by a newly formed Palestinian technocratic committee, which will operate under the council's supervision, largely based on the Egyptian and Arab-Islamic reconstruction plan.
