US President Donald Trump has stated that he will not impose tariffs that were scheduled to take effect on February 1st. This decision comes after a “very productive meeting” with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, where a framework for a future agreement regarding Greenland was formed. Trump stated that, if the agreement is completed, it will be excellent for the United States and all NATO countries. He added that further discussions are underway regarding Greenland, with the involvement of Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and other officials. The announcement follows Trump's initial interest in considering the purchase of Greenland, which had sparked controversy.
